Beschreibung
Reservoir Cubes is a strategic heist print&play game where players lead a gang of five robbers through a vault to collect as much loot as possible. The game features a diceless mechanic that relies on player choices and interactions. Each turn, players coordinate their robbers' movements, using special abilities to disable security systems and open safes.
The gameplay revolves around planning and tactical decisions. Players start by rolling five cubes to determine the movement of each robber, designating a leader and a lazy robber for each turn. The roles of Leader and Lazy need to be balanced carefully, as each role has implications for the gang's efficiency and stress levels. Robbers move through the vault in a coordinated manner, collecting keys to unlock safes and avoiding security cameras. Special moves can be used to alter outcomes, adding layers of strategy.
Key elements of the game include the Gang Stress Meter, which tracks the overall stress level of the robbers, and the Mexican Standoff mechanic, where robbers must resolve conflicts when extra loot is taken. The robbers generate stress by stealing more than their agreed-upon share, leading to potential conflicts and complications. The goal is to balance the loot collected with the stress level to successfully complete the heist.
